* Happy Thought *

And my world was a lot safer with the new generation of superheroes. They said I was their inspiration. But all I did was open a door to a world I'd dreamed about since I was a little kid.

* So Lovely *

Ahhhh my web designer just sent over the latest design revisions and oh my goodness I think I've fallen in love... So preeeettyy!!

I have to admit I started off a bit nervous just because I couldn't quite communicate my ideas and style as efficiently as I would have liked. Plus I've had not so great experiences with designers in the past. But something kept telling me to be patient and give the process some time to develop naturally. And everything will be ... lovelier than I imagined :] And from what I saw tonight, I believe we're almost there :D

Yay! I'm so excited to see the end result of this brand development project for peachie love!

Lesson: it pays to trust your gut instincts :]]]

* Candy Apples *

Growing up in a Christian family, I don't have too many Halloween memories. BUT every time the leaves start falling and air gets a bit chilly, I always think of candy apples. Candy apples remind me of my childhood and elementary school days. Every fall, I remember the candy apple man would come and sell candied/caramel apples for $1 after school. It was always the highlight of my fall and I would look forward to it all month.

So to commemorate such a fond memory and to do something special for Halloween/fall time, I present to you:

I upgraded it to a white chocolate candy apple. If you never had one, omg.. go immediately to Downtown Disney Marceline's Confectionery and try one! I had my first white chocolate apple pie candy apple when I was working at Candy Palace inside Disneyland and I've been addicted ever since.

Anyways, it's up on my Etsy. My store was looking pretty bare. But now the Android has some company :]

And because it looks good enough to eat...

 Wishing you a safe and happy Hallooooween!

* Krystle Tugadi: I Believe in Sunshine *

I wanted to share with you that one of my most favorite and amazingly talented indie artist, Krystle Tugadi is releasing her debut single "Sunshine" on itunes tomorrow! I've gotten to know Krystle for over a year now and her soul is just as beautiful as her voice. Along with working extremely hard on her musical career, she is equally as passionate if not more so about the community by becoming personally involved in many charities/non profit orgs. I'm so proud of her <3

Singing since she was a child, Krystle is a recording artist with a cause, using her divine talent to make positive change in the world we live in today. Her smooth and enchanting voice is just a bridge into what this young diva is all about. Save the date and listen to just a taste of Krystle Tugadi's soul-moving music, the cute and contagious track, "Sunshine".

Show her some love ♥
 (I'll post the link to where you can purchase the track once I get the info)

* Pure Imagination *

The other day I was bit flustered when I was attempting to transfer design images from my mind onto paper. It always looks so much better in my imagination. Reality and all its silly limitations :p

However I was encouraged today when I ran across one of my favorite scenes from the original Willy Wonka movie:

I always love the part when he sips from the buttercup teacup and then bites into it.

I guess what I realized is that it isn't reality that sets the limits of what can or can't be done. History has obviously proven that time and time again. It's us and our minds that create the limits of how far we can go. That's probably the greatest obstacle to overcome when it comes to doing things differently. Because I honestly believe imagination is a blueprint of the all delightful possibilities we can create in this world. Our attempt to add a bit color into this otherwise black and white routine life.

You know... something like this:

It's amazing to see the power of imagination at its best. For more sweet photos, check out Mochimochiland.com.

I'll leave you with these wise wise words from Willy Wonka which has inspired me to try try again with my ideas:
  • We are the music makers... and we are the dreamers of dreams.
  • There is no life I know to compare with pure imagination. Living there, you'll be free if you truly wish to be.
  • Anything you want to, do it. Want to change the world? There's nothing to it

* Made My Day *

I recently made a custom Android order for a lovely Etsy customer who wanted to give something extra special for her boyfriend.

He then blogged about it and then mentioned me on his twitter!
Please check out his site thisgreenmachine.com for the latest Android content and commentary.

Thank you Green Machine for making my day! Your gf is so sweet and thoughtful btw :] But I think you already know that.

Here's a couple of follow up photos I took before I sent off Office Android:

* Isn't the World Full of Wonderful Things? *

"Isn't the world full of wonderful things?
I have lost so many things: my job, my future
Everything that people *think* is important, but I don't care.
'Cause even if I have to dig ditches for the rest of my life
I should be a ditch-digger who once had a wonderful day!"
- Cornelius Hackle "It Only Takes a Moment"

Sigh I adore Hello, Dolly! It has always been one of my favorite musicals (yes even before Wall-E). And that has always been one of my favorite lines. I remember as a little girl being glued to the tv watching this movie (which I borrowed every time I could from the library) while all the other kids were outside playing.

Thinking back now, it might just be because of Dolly (Barbra Streisand's character) that I dreamed of becoming a coordinator of some sort. She made it look and sound so fabulous with the song "Just Leave Everything to Me." You know and get to meet so many different people while having an answer or solution to any situation.

If you haven't watched it, please do yourself a favor and do so! It's directed by the one and only Gene Kelly (Singin' In the Rain among many other fantastic films). So you know the songs and dancing will blow your mind.

Here's a nibble for you:
My favorite number "Put on Your Sunday Clothes"

I wish they would make movies like this again.
Where men were gentlemen and ladies were treated as such.
Well a girl can dream ... :]

* Phuong and Jeff's Wedding 7.17.10 *

I had the extreme pleasure to coordinate the wedding of Phuong and Jeff this summer or as everyone at the wedding chanted "The Liu-Tang Dynasty!"

Ceremony: Buddist Temple in San Gabriel

Moments: San Gabriel Hilton & JACCC Japanese Garden

Ceremony: Empress Harbor in Monterey Park

These moments capture exactly why I do what I do. (For more amazingly beautiful photos, please visit Jean Tsai's blog).

Every single couple and company I've worked with have all become like family to me. Because I approach each event as if it were my own or a family members'. Does it matter if each bow is tied correctly? Absolutely! Is each place setting uniform and neat?  Of course! Are all the escort cards set correctly and looking exactly the way the bride planned? Yes!

I don't see it as being OCD or nit picky. It's simply taking the extra time and care because I completely understand how much planning and work it took to make that day extra special. To me the heart of every wedding and event is to celebrate life with the people who love you. And that's why you hire me because I make sure that happens. I take care of every little detail the day of so you and everyone around you can fully enjoy YOUR day.

And quite frankly, that's what I do best and where my passion lies. Making certain everyone has a good time by celebrating life... one moment at a time <3

Congratulations Phuong and Jeff
Cheers to the Liu-Tang Dynasty

[sidenote] The reason why I don't have any wedding postings is because I initially wanted to dedicate this blog only to my crafts. However I recently decided to post everything related to my [peachie love] business on here. So I have quite a lot catching up to do for my wedding/event posts.
