And welcome to 2014.
2013 was once again dreamlike. Thinking back, it was hazy with hints of memories that I'll keep with me always. The only thing that proves it was all real are the leftover photos and videos. Or else it's hard to believe all those things happened and happened so wonderfully.
thanks morewongfu for making this <3
One thing I do at the beginning of each new year is find my yearly theme. This is my way of setting a goal for myself that I want to live out for the rest of that year. So when I'm faced with a decision or unsure what my next step should be, I refer back to my theme and without hesitation, I know immediately what the right answer for me is. And just like that, one fateful decision leads to another and another and another. Until finally, it's guided me to exactly where I need and want to be... in all my relationships, my career, and areas I didn't even know were important to me. Making a yearly theme has proven to last to the end of the year vs. making new year resolutions which I never ever kept.
Examples of my past yearly themes:
2009: Make it happen
2010: Let it go
2011: Have faith
2012: Trust yourself
2013: Give back
2014: Be fearless
I highly recommend doing this. And keep yourself accountable! Write your theme everywhere to remind you. Use it as your Northern star. And pick a theme that will not only help you grow as a better person in your own life, but in others' lives as well. Be a better sister, son, employee, manager, friend, boyfriend...etc.
Let me know what your themes are! Love to hear them <3
Wishing you the most fantastical 2014 you could ever imagine.. and more!
